WALK4ARTH

A Walk to Remember: Community Comes Together for #Walk4Arth

Last Sunday 14th June, Clifton High School families and friends gathered for the first Walk4Arth 10k mini-walk, organised in memory of Arthur Cleaver by a parent and friend of the family, Mrs Livingstone.

Following the incredibly sad passing of Arthur, his father, Mr Andrew Cleaver, alongside close friends, family and members of the wider community, has begun fundraising in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust. This first walk marked a moving and uplifting start to this initiative, bringing people together not only to raise funds but to celebrate Arthur’s life and the impact he had on those around him.

The event saw more than 20 families come together on what turned out to be a beautifully bright day. Children and adults alike took part, with younger walkers proudly receiving their Walk4Arth water bottles and Teenage Cancer Trust t-shirts.

Reflecting on the event via the Walk4Arth Instagram account, Mr Cleaver captured the atmosphere perfectly:

“This was such a happy, joyous, loving event last Sunday when families came together to show support for our #Walk4Arth challenge by taking part in a Mini ‘Walk4Arth’. You can see everyone smiling, enjoying themselves and most of all remembering the amazing young man that Arthur was. Thank you, everyone! ”

The walk was not only a tribute but also the beginning of an ongoing effort to honour Arthur’s memory through action. A second walk is already planned, taking place between Sunday 26th July and Saturday 1st August, offering another opportunity for the community to come together and continue supporting this cause and celebrate Arthur's life.
