OUR DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Our  Development Team oversees all philanthropic and charitable fundraising through The Clifton High School Foundation. The Team is also the main point of contact for the Clifton Rosarians (alumni) and the School archives.

Our Foundation 

The Clifton High School Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1201516) was established to provide long-term financial support to Clifton High School and its pupils. 

The Foundation is governed by a board of Trustees who are responsible for the financial management and administration of the Foundation’s assets and its overall direction. 

Our current priority is to Fund the Future through our 150th Anniversary Appeal. During our Appeal we will be celebrating our pioneering history, whilst continuing to offer an outstanding and enriching learning experience for generations to come. 

Through our 150th Anniversary Appeal we aim to Fund the Future by:

  • investing in our science facilities
  • increasing our bursary support 

Clifton High School has a long history of philanthropy. Since the School's insception through the sale of shares, right through to the present day, gifts have helped shape our campus and provided life-changing bursaries for our pupils. As we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of our School in 2027, we are excited to launch our 150th Anniversary Appeal, which, with the support of our donors, will transform our School and its pupils for generations to come.

Mrs Elizabeth Bond

With over 25 years’ experience working for national and regional charities across the Southwest and Wales, Mrs Elizabeth Bond leads the Team in supporting our Clifton Rosarians, and the Clifton High School Foundation. As both a current and former parent, Mrs Bond is passionate about our School and how philanthropy and fundraising can really help make a difference through our ambitious 150th Anniversary Appeal.

Mrs Kate McKee

Mrs Kate McKee has a background within the superyacht industry and luxury marketing. As a former pupil of Clifton High School and a current parent, she returned to work at School in 2022, joining the team as the Development Officer. Mrs McKee works closely and provides an in-depth knowledge of our alumni, the Clifton Rosarians. In this role, Mrs McKee leverages her professional expertise and personal connection to the School community to foster strong relationships and embed our 150th Anniversary Appeal initiatives.

Mrs Ollie Price

After two decades of teaching and working in prestigious London prep schools, Mrs Ollie Price returned to her hometown of Bristol with her young family in 2019. Since then, she has loved working at Clifton High School and is delighted to be part of the Development Team. Mrs Price is the Foundation’s events lead and supports the team with trust applications, using her links across Bristol and the Southwest to support our Appeal.

Our Trustees

Mrs Marie-Josèphe Obrentz

Mrs Marie-Josèphe Obrentz (née Forte CR 1967) brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing and commercial management including Board level roles to the Foundation.

As a Rosarian who has happy memories of her Clifton High schooldays, it was a great honour to be invited to join the Foundation as a Trustee. I take seriously the opportunity to support deserving pupils who would otherwise not benefit from the unique experience of a Clifton High School education. With my fellow, like-minded Trustees and the Development Team, I am proud we make a difference to many young people’s lives and the future of the School.

Miss Catherine Allin

Miss Catherine Allin (CR 2016) is a graduate from Cardiff University, with a degree in Spanish. Following her Undergraduate Degree, Catherine proceeded to complete a Master’s Degree in International Business Management from Newcastle University and is now working for an international organisation in Bristol as a Risk Analyst.

I feel very honoured to have been invited to join the Foundation. For me, it is really important to give back to the School that so positively impacted me, and it’s a privilege to work with a great team full of incredible expertise and knowledge.

Mrs Susan Manby

Mrs Susan Manby joined the Foundation as a Trustee in 2025 and brings with her over 20 years’ experience working in senior positions in the NHS, local government, and charity sector. Susan has been a Non-Executive Director in the NHS and social housing sector and is currently CEO of St Peter’s Hospice, Bristol.

As a parent of two children who have recently attended Clifton High School, I know the difference the Foundation makes in providing life-changing opportunities for children particularly through bursaries. I am delighted to have become a Trustee of the Foundation, and look forward to working with the Board so that more children benefit from the school's exceptional learning environment.
