This year, 24% of grades were awarded at Grade 9, with 43% at Grades 9-8 and 63% at Grades 9-7. An impressive 97% of pupils achieved Grades 9-4, significantly exceeding the national average pass rate of 67%.
Pupils achieved outstanding results across the curriculum. Further Mathematics recorded 95% of Grades at 9-7, while Art achieved 90% at Grades 9-6, including three pupils attaining full marks. Strong performances were also seen in History, Drama, the sciences and modern foreign languages, demonstrating the breadth and consistency of achievement across the School.
Beyond the results themselves, Clifton High pupils continued to exceed expectations. On average, 45% of pupils achieved at least one grade higher in each GCSE than their baseline projections, with 11% improving by two grades. The School also celebrated the success of twenty-two Year 10 pupils who sat GCSE Religious Studies, Chinese and Computing early, with 100% achieving Grades 9-7.
We are immensely proud of our Year 11 pupils and all they have achieved. These results reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the confidence, resilience and personal growth they have developed during their time at Clifton High School. We congratulate them all on this significant milestone and look forward to welcoming them back to continue their journey in our Sixth Form.
