Access

The School is accessible via our Main Gate on College Road. All visitors and guests should report here to our Main Reception. 

Access to the Sports Complex, where our Swimming Pool is housed is via Clifton Park Road. 

Whilst there are other entrances and gates onto the School site these are to only be used at drop off and pick up by our pupils and their parents or staff. 

In line with our Safeguarding policy, all visitors must have signed in and be accompanied by a member of staff. 

Getting Here

Due to our historic location, we do not have an onsite car park, however there is road parking available all around the school's footprint. You can get up to 30-minutes free parking. 

Clifton High School is easily accessible via public transportation, including buses and trains. The closest train station is Clifton Down, situated just 15 minutes walking distance of the School.

Alternatively, you can use the extensive bus network in Bristol and alight at stops near College Road or Clifton Park or Clifton Village.

Clifton High School is centrally located in Clifton Village, a picturesque area in the heart of Bristol.  Overlooking the Avon River and home to the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, it is known for historical architecture of the Georgian and Regency era, charming buildings and a vibrant atmosphere.

Clifton Village sits amidst beautiful green spaces that afford visitors and locals alike with captivating views across the Avon Gorge, leisurely walks or more active pursuits on Durdham and Clifton Downs or within the grounds of Ashton Court. The School immerses itself in the local community and is fortunate to be a short walk from a plethora of independent restaurants, cafes, shops as well as the buzz of the City centre.

Named amongst the Best Places to Live in the UK 2023 by The Sunday Times, Bristol is within easy access to the Southwest Coast of England and neighbouring Wales.  It is host to many music festivals, cultural celebrations, art exhibitions, sporting events and the renowned annual Balloon Fiesta.

There are many local and national transport links with regular bus services and Clifton Down Train station only a 15-minute walk away. Whilst we do not have onsite parking, we offer staff the opportunity to purchase a local parking permit. There are also many private and street parking options within short walking distances to the School.
