PUPILS SUPPORT FLAMINGO CHICKS

Our Senior School pupils volunteered and performed at the Flamingo Chicks' 24-hour Dance Relay

In May, Cantata were delighted to return to support Flamingo Chicks and their inspiring annual Danceathon, an incredible 24-hour fundraising event where each group takes part in a continuous celebration of dance and movement.

Flamingo Chicks is a Bristol-based charity that provides inclusive dance and movement classes for disabled and ill children. Their work plays a vital role in supporting families and empowering young people to build confidence, express themselves and fulfil their potential

This year, Cantata provided live music for the Encanto-themed session. Before their performance, our pupils also joined in with the dancing, engaging with the children and helping to make the experience even more joyful and inclusive. It was truly special to see how naturally our pupils connected with the children, with music acting as the shared language that brought everyone together.

Flamingo Chicks' work is centred around inclusion, empowerment and belonging, values that strongly resonate with our own ethos at Clifton High School. It was wonderful to see our pupils not only embracing these values but actively contributing to a meaningful cause.

Community outreach forms an important part of our Senior School co-curricular offering, providing pupils with opportunities to engage with local and national initiatives, contribute positively to society and grow as individuals. Through experiences like volunteering with Flamingo Chicks, our pupils gain valuable life skills while making a genuine difference to others.

We are immensely proud of their commitment and the way they represent Clifton High School within the wider community.
