OPEN-MIC NIGHT DEBUT

Clifton High School pupils took to the stage at The Alma Tavern for our first Open-Mic Night, showcasing musical talent in a vibrant new addition to our performance programme

On Sunday 7th June 2026, Clifton High School hosted its very first Open-Mic Night at The Alma Tavern, an exciting new addition to our vibrant music calendar.

The event brought together pupils from across the Senior School, who performed with confidence and enthusiasm. From solo performances to small ensembles, the evening was a fantastic showcase of the talent, dedication and musical individuality within our School community. It was a joy to see pupils take to the stage in a supportive, relaxed setting, sharing their passion for music with peers, staff and families.

This new event sits alongside a rich programme of musical opportunities at Clifton High School. Throughout the year, pupils take part in a variety of performances including our festive Annual Carol Service at Clifton Cathedral, Lunchtime Concerts at All Saints, and our Spring Concert at Bristol’s renowned live music venue, St George’s. Each of these occasions highlights the breadth and diversity of our musical community, with performances from soloists, ensembles and choirs.

These events are not only an opportunity for pupils to perform, but also to collaborate across year groups, work closely with staff and engage with parents and the wider School community. They provide a platform for pupils to celebrate their progress and for families to experience first-hand the results of their hard work and commitment.
