Modern European Languages Day: un día muy divertido
Last half term, Clifton High School celebrated Modern European Languages Day. Across the Junior and Senior Schools, pupils:
- dressed in European-inspired costumes
- baked cakes for a competition judged by the Head of School
- designed t-shirts for a Senior School competition
- engaged with a Senior School assembly featuring Coldplay songs sung in multiple European languages, celebrating love and empathy
That day, all Senior School lessons began with a languages-themed starter created by Ms Bartlett, plus all Senior pupils had the Secret Agent’s Languages Challenge app uploaded to their iPads to meet the challenge during tutor time. The day was enormously fun, and Clifton High raised £593.21 for Macmillan Cancer Trust.
