DRUM AND GUITAR SHOWCASE 2026

Pupils from Years 3–11 take to the stage for our annual Drum and Guitar Concert, ending with a lively duet performance of Brown-Eyed Girl

We were delighted to welcome pupils, staff and families to our annual Drum and Guitar Concert, held after school on Wednesday 3rd June. The event brought together a wide range of musical talent, with pupils from Years 3 to 11 taking to the stage to perform.

The concert featured an impressive variety of solo performances, including drum kit, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and electric guitar. It was wonderful to see pupils of different ages and stages sharing their skills with confidence, demonstrating both their individual progress and their enthusiasm for music.

The evening concluded with a lively duet from Tom and Felix, performing the well-known song Brown-Eyed Girl. With Tom providing guitar and vocals and Felix accompanying on drum kit, it was a fitting and enjoyable finale that was warmly received by the audience.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated music staff. Mr Jones, who teaches all of our drum pupils, not only supported performers throughout their preparation but also ensured the event ran smoothly as sound technician on the day. We are equally grateful to our guitar teachers, Mr Christie and Mr Chetland, for their continued encouragement and expertise.

Events like this are a valuable opportunity for pupils to perform, build confidence and share their achievements. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and a celebration of the creativity and commitment of our young musicians.
