Clifton High School achieves a GOLD standard in the Bristol Eating Better Schools Award.
The Bristol Eating Better Award supports and rewards businesses, school caterers and early years providers that offer healthier menu options and promote food and environmental sustainability.
Clifton High School were tasked with considering all aspects of our catering processes, from the methods we prepare and serve food to tackling climate change (such as more plant-based ingredients on the menu) to minimising food waste.
Our application was commended for our focus on using local suppliers, as well as the positive steps we are taking towards healthier options. We also impressed the judges with the variation, balance and choice of ingredients we offer.
We are thrilled with this accolade and thank our fantastic Catering Team, led by our Executive Chef - Mr Tim Fletcher, for their commitment to creating and serving our community with a healthy and varied menu using fresh, organic and locally sourced food supplies.
