A SPRINKLE OF MAGIC ON STAGE

Year 4 and 5 Drama Club pupils delighted Junior School pupils with a heartwarming original performance that showcased creativity, confidence and teamwork.

Last Friday, Year 4 and 5 pupils from our After School Drama Games Club took to the stage during the Year 3–6 assembly to perform a wonderful original play.

Created and written by the pupils themselves, with support from Mrs Brown, the story followed a struggling toy shop that was on the brink of closure. Just when all hope seemed lost, the shop was brought back to life by a sprinkle of magic and an unexpected large order from Mrs Taylor (played by Wulan in Year 4!) who wanted to buy a toy for every single child in the Infant and Junior school! How generous!

The children delivered a brilliant performance, bringing their characters to life with enthusiasm and creativity. Most inspiring of all was the personal progress made by several children in the group. Some pupils who had previously been nervous about speaking or performing in front of others confidently stepped onto the stage and performed in front of a large audience for the very first time.

We are incredibly proud of all the pupils involved. Their imagination, commitment and bravery shone through and they should all be congratulated on a fantastic performance!
