The above fees include some extended provision, supervised by qualified staff, which varies depending on year group. Options include Early Birds or Early Registration, Homework Rooms, some extra-curricular clubs and ten free ASAC sessions for children in Reception - Year 5 each half term.

The headline fees do not include residential trips, non-curricular visits, public examination fees, EAL additional support, FECP, one-to-one tuition, for example, speech and drama lessons or specialist coaching and some of our extra-curricular clubs, such as tennis and dance. Any additional charges will be made clear in advance.

Day pupil deposits and retainers

Day pupil deposit up to and including 3rd September 2021: £455

For enrolment from 3rd September 2021: £495

Day pupil deposit (non-UK residents): £4,500

Nursery School retainer: £455

It is expected that pupils will progress through the School, from Nursery to Sixth Form. The non-refundable retainer fee secures a place in our Reception year and beyond. On entry to Reception, the retainer is transferred into a refundable deposit at the prevailing rate. The acceptance deposit will be retained in the general funds of the School until the pupil leaves. The balance less extras charged on the final bill will then be transferred to the Development Office to help fund scholarships, bursaries, major capital projects and Clifton High Foundation initiatives, unless written notification to the contrary is received one month prior to the final bill.

Lunch and Refreshments

School lunch is mandatory for all pupils in Reception to Year 11 unless there is a compelling medical reason for a pupil not to take lunch. Lunch is optional for students in Years 12 and 13. If your child has special dietary requirements please contact us as these can often be catered for at no extra cost. Charges are billed in the following term.

Payment methods

A fees and extras bill is produced at the end of each term and sent to parents. This will contain tuition and examination fees for the following term and any extras accumulated during the current term.

We are aware that many parents prefer to pay fees throughout the year while others wish to pay a lump sum at the beginning of each term or year. A range of payment options are available.

Bank Transfer is our preferred payment method. Please transfer direct to the bank details below, on or before the first day of term, quoting your Pupil Reference (found on the top right of your fee bill) when making payment.

Direct Debit: There is no additional administration charge for paying by Direct Debit and the total due is either transferred on the first day of term or collected in three equal monthly instalments for each term’s bill. Additional charges are collected in full with the first fee instalment each term.

Cheques: Please make payable to Clifton High School and address to the Finance Department.
