Masterclasses on the Move

Masterclasses on the Move

Following excellent appraisals of the School’s teaching by two independent bodies in 2016, Clifton High was keen to share its expertise in a range of subjects with schools and groups across Bristol, through its 'Masterclasses on the Move' initiative.  The diverse programme offered by departments from across the school has been very popular with local schools eager to participate, with glowing reports from those it has already visited. Over 1000 pupils have participated in a Masterclass to date.

Clifton High School is delighted to be extending its ‘Masterclasses on the Move’ initiative to local Early Years organisations, now offering a complimentary educational workshop to nurseries, pre-schools and playgroups in Bristol and the surrounding areas from the summer term 2018.

Masterclasses vary from dissecting sheeps’ eyes, to sewing activities, robotics programming, historical re-enactment and campcraft. Masterclasses currently take place on a Friday afternoon during term time. The School would welcome interest from parents and friends of the School who know a local youth group or charity who might be interested in experiencing one of our masterclasses.  They are free of charge and tailor made to suit.

The pupils had a superb experience. All the children were engaged and the 'buzz' around the room was lovely to hear.
