Trips and Visits

Trips and visits enhance the curriculum and provide our children with exciting and enriching opportunities to learn outside the classroom environment.Children experience a wealth of opportunities that they would not typically encounter in the academic curriculum. Children have a range of trips throughout the year, for example, to Cadbury World to further pupils' knowledge on ancient Maya. In addition to trips, pupils also take part in a residential visit in the Spring / Summer term. The visit involves a one- or two-night stay at an activity camp in the United Kingdom and it builds on the skills the pupils learn during their term time Adventure programme. As well as building independence, resilience and collaboration.

As part of the enrichment programme, Junior School children undertake a two or three night residential trip to an activity camp in the United Kingdom. This offers boys and girls the opportunities to enjoy adventurous activities such as canoeing, climbing, abseiling, archery, skiing, quad-biking, bodyboarding, fencing and orienteering.

The older Junior School children can also participate in overseas trips and tours. In 2015 the boys and girls in Year 6 took part in our netball and cricket tour to Barbados.
