During the Easter break, pupils in Years 9 and 10 improved their Spanish speaking skills and knowledge of Spanish culture on the Spanish Visit to Alicante.
For the duration of the week, pupils stayed in groups of two with Spanish host families and attended a Language Academy each day for four hours of intense lessons. Following the lessons, everyone participated in a range of activities such as going to the cinema, playing beach sports, taking part in a dance lesson, taking a tour of the city and shopping. Pupils also had the opportunity to watch the Holy Week processions celebrated in Spain at this time of the year.
All pupils had a valuable week improving their Spanish and everyone enjoyed some lovely days of sunshine at the beach where it was 25 degrees!
