Last Thursday, Year 6 children were visited by PC Crawford from the Avon and Somerset Constabulary who talked to the children about staying safe online, their responsibilities and crime and consequences.
PC Crawford explained that age ten is the age of criminal responsibility and the age at which children are expected to know what correct and incorrect behaviour is. Year 6 worked together to fill in a series of questions about the legal age for certain activities, such as buying alcohol from a shop and learning to drive.
There were many opportunities for discussion and the children asked pertinent questions, learning a significant amount about crime and consequences. Thank you to PC Crawford for such an informative visit.
