Clifton High School’s Marquee Week has had a hugely successful start. The annual event – which showcases the very best of what the school has to offer – began with an Eco Expo day this Tuesday. The day focused on using resources sustainably, something which Clifton High champions. During the day specialists from around Bristol ran workshops for pupils on upcycling plastics and fabrics. Year 7 pupils also created eco fashion accessories for the CHS Eco Fashion Competition. Well done to everyone who entered!
The day ended with a stimulating Science Café on evolution with Dr Alice Roberts, Clinical Anatomist, Author and Broadcaster, which was attended by pupils. Dr Roberts then gave a talk entitled ‘The Incredible Unlikeliness of Being’ in the evening to an enthralled audience of parents, friends, staff and pupils.
