Children in Years 3-6 have been busy this week baking cupcakes for the Junior House ‘Bake Off’ Challenge, where they had to make four identical cupcakes, with the theme of ‘Summer’.
On Tuesday, Miss Coggins and Junior School teachers’ judged the cupcake entries based on their taste and design. All of the cupcakes were exceptional and demonstrated imagination, cookery skill and superb attention to detail.
The fifteen winners will now go on to participate in the grand final ‘Bake Off’, which will take place during their Enrichment lesson on the afternoon of Wednesday 13th June. For the final, children will be asked to bake one ‘showstopper’ cake with the theme of ‘Clifton High School’.
All entries from the first round were sold during break time on Wednesday, in aid of Clifton High School charities for this academic year - Great Ormond Street Hospital, Cleft Lip and Palate Association and Brake, Road Safety. Well done to all participants for such brilliant cookery!
